Overview
The GB catalogue describes a vortex air pump whose impellers are mounted directly on the motor shaft. It lists single-stage and double-stage ranges, each with its own pressure, vacuum and airflow envelope. Applications include combustion air, drying, aquaculture and wastewater aeration, pneumatic conveying and several industrial suction duties.
The compression principle and performance tables should be used to decide whether a blowing or vacuum duty is appropriate. A model chosen for aeration must also be checked against the diffuser and pipework pressure loss. GB uses a ring-blower design, while RL uses a three-lobe Roots design.

Operating conditions
50 Hz operation. The catalogue lists single-phase 220–240 V models up to 2.2 kW and three-phase 380–415 V models from 0.55 kW. Select the blowing or suction duty from the correct single-stage or double-stage curve. Confirm the gas and installation conditions for the selected configuration; the brochure does not specify a gas-temperature limit.
Before selecting
- Specify blowing or suction duty and match airflow to the required pressure or vacuum.
- Choose single-stage or double-stage construction from the applicable GB performance data.
- Confirm electrical supply and obtain the operating and material limits for the selected configuration.
Series questions
Can GB be selected for suction as well as blowing?
Yes. The catalogue lists blowing and suction applications. Select from the performance data for the required pressure or vacuum duty.
Is a double-stage blower always the right choice?
Choose the stage arrangement from the required airflow and pressure or vacuum. The catalogue provides separate single-stage and double-stage ranges.
