MHI / Stainless steel pressure-boosting range

MHI Horizontal Multistage Pump

MHI is a horizontal multistage stainless steel pump for clean-water pressure and circulation duties. The same catalogue also shows IVT-MHI, a version with a frequency inverter. These are related configurations within one series catalogue; the inverter feature should be attributed only to IVT-MHI.

Range technical data

Motor power range
0.37–2.2 kW
Maximum flow
Up to 26 m³/h
Maximum head
Up to 69 m
Inlet / outlet range
Inlet DN25–DN50; outlet DN25–DN40, according to model
Power supply

Overview

The MHI catalogue identifies AISI 304 stainless steel for the casing, impeller and shaft, with multiple impellers providing the pressure capability of the range. It lists water supply, pressure boosting, heating and air-conditioning circulation, washing and sprinkler systems among the applications. The approved fluid is clean water.

IVT-MHI is the multistage configuration with a frequency inverter; standard MHI has no inverter specified. Performance and electrical data vary by model and configuration. Select the required flow and head from the applicable curve, then confirm liquid temperature, suction conditions and motor supply against the catalogue.

Features

  • Horizontal multistage impellers
  • AISI 304 stainless steel casing, impeller and shaft
  • Clean-water operating scope
  • Frequency inverter on IVT-MHI configuration

Applications

  • Water-supply pressure boosting
  • Heating and air-conditioning circulation
  • Washing and sprinkler systems

Materials

AISI 304 stainless steel casing, impeller and shaft. The mechanical-seal materials are silicon carbide and graphite.

Operating conditions

Clean water at 0–90 °C and maximum pressure 10 bar. Single-phase and three-phase supplies are listed. Use the fluid operating limit when checking hot-water duty.

Before selecting

  • Select the model and multistage hydraulic duty from required flow and total head.
  • Confirm clean-water quality, fluid temperature and system pressure.
  • Check the available power supply and choose the standard MHI or inverter-equipped IVT-MHI configuration as required.

Series questions

What is the difference between MHI and IVT-MHI?

The overview identifies IVT-MHI as the multistage pump with a frequency inverter. Confirm the required control configuration with the selected model.

Does the seal temperature rating define the water-temperature limit?

Use the operating-data limit for the pumped water: 0–90 °C. A separate component rating in the materials list does not replace that limit.

2CDX Twin-Impeller Pump

2CDX places twin centrifugal impellers in a horizontal stainless steel pump. Its catalogue lists water supply, water treatment, irrigation and air-conditioning duties. The two-impeller arrangement offers a different flow-head selection from the single-impeller CDX range, so the published curve should guide specification.

3M Stainless Steel Standard Pump

3M is a stainless steel standard-pump series for clean-water and selected industrial transfer duties. The catalogue identifies stainless steel wetted parts and a back pull-out arrangement that gives access to the rotating assembly without removing pipework. Its application and material profile differ from the cast-iron CM range.
